Meditation Resources in the Mid-Island Area

Dec 04, 2012

Through meditation we learn about ourselves and harness our ability to calm the mind. When we are stressed and find life difficult meditation benefits us by making our minds calmer and more focused.

(not that this is a stressful time... I wouldn't want to put that in your mind!)

Thriveontheisland.ca offers you this partial list as an early X-mas present in the hopes that you will have all the resources that you need for your journey.  Please tell me about any meditations which you know of in your area and I will send out a newsletter with a longer list!

At 40 Kennedy (my house) we have meditation/ Buddhist Sangha practice on Mondays 5 - 6:30 p.m. (that includes 2- 20 min sitting meditations separated by a 10 minute walking meditation, a tea meditation and dharma discussion) .

On Wednesday evenings (7-8:30 ) we have a Dharma (Buddhist) Bookclub that starts with a 20 min meditation and then we read and discuss.  We are currently studying the Tibetan Book of the Living and Dying. Everyone is welcome to attend either of these.

Namaste.

Action or Action or WORKING' is in the maestr key, and the maestr key system is full of action packed exercise, to help people start taking action from within before the without. You are saying that working' what is working? work implies first to work on the inner unviverse, taking inner action. before taking any external action, and that is what the maestr key system offers. Always see things not just from your perspectives, but from others too Millions of people simply don't know which way 2go
